2023 Sangiovese Rosé
Sangiovese Rosé has a vastly different feel and flavour to Rosés made from other red grape varieties. The Little Wine Co Sangiovese Rosé combines the great drinkability of Rosé but with an added dimension of complex palate flavours.
VITICULTURE
The Sangiovese grapes used in our Rosé were grown in the cool climate Hilltops region of NSW. The vines are 30 year old and beautifully balanced in their maturity.
WINEMAKING NOTES
We drained almost 30% of the juice from the Sangiovese grapes prior to fermentation to produce this rosé. The juice was fermented in stainless steel at cooler temperatures to enhance the fruit aromas. After fermentation the wine was bottled early under screw cap to capture the full fruit flavour.
TASTING NOTES
With its strawberry and cream flavours this is simply a delicious, easy drinking rosé. It has a round silky mouth feel, aromas of fruit tingles and blood plum and a long, lingering finish. Our rosé is enticing and the ultimate in drinkability. Chill and drink as an aperitif or with any summer style meal.
